Training day 2024

Saturday 27th April saw the first on the water event of 2024 - a training day organised by the Royal Southampton Yacht Club. 12 boats joined in the racing which was excellently run by Guy & Zoe Darby (assisted by Remy) from onboard Ripple of Kyle. 

Three starts, a short windward-leeward race and then a downwind start were run - which meant everyone could dust off those cobwebs and get back into the groove of racing. There were no winners - but special congratulations to Jemima for their excellent performance in the windward-leeward - a boat to watch out for this year.

It was great to see so many boats out, including some new faces and some familiar boats returning to the fray. We hope its a sign of another excellent year of racing to come. Entry is now open for the inshore series events - details here.
