Forums, Internal Fixtures and Fittings, Reducing the length of the Nav table

Has anyone ever shortened the nav table? It would be great to add a bit of length to the qtr berth so it’s a bit more accessible for a slightly bigger person? I was thinking I could put an extra board and cushion to fill the legwell and the table would still be long enough for a3 chart packs?
if anyone has done this and has any pictures that would be great
