Wiring diagram
doug at 09/04/2017 20:12:18
Has anyone got, or put together, a wiring diagram? My boat is from 1979 with the two circuit breaker panel with banks of 8 toggle switches under.
I am particularly interested in how the original batteries were wired up. I have two rotary Lucas switches but this may not be original.
I know I should be able to figure this out myself but I struggle.

Hi Doug,
I’m in the same boat as you are ( ). I know, I know… I’ve just lost any credibility.
I’ve just bought a 1974 CO32 and over the next 3-4 months I’m planning a complete overhaul and modernization of all the electrics. I don’t live near my boat so it’s going to be done in start and stops. At the end of this, I’m planning to submit an amateur technical paper to the Co32.org site (like the excellent: http://co32.org/sites/default/files/CO32BatteryStowage.pdf)
I’ve been on to the Rogers boatyard and I’m planning to visit at some point in May. I’m hoping to get a wiring layout diagram of the modern boat and maybe grab a coffee with one of their engineers.
I’ll try to gather as much material as I can and post the details here on on the Co32 website. It’s going to be a few months before I have this work done tho.
If you get ahold of any diagrams/information, would you pass them on too, please?
Ciarán

Hello Ciaran,
I think it would be of general interest to see a modern wiring diagram. maybe you could post what you have when you find time. It is always great to see other peoples stuff and ideas.
I solved my wiring conundrum but it’s all a bit piecemeal with me..
