does anyone know the wattage of ‘normal’ ie bayonet type Tricolour & Anchor lights on CO32 – all the info on the web seem to be confined to volts (yes we know they are 12 volts but in sizing new cables but it’s the watts that dictate the cable size)

l.e.d. ones are only 5W (.33amp ). Filament ones are about 25W (2amp ).

Thanks for the response. I think I will size cables on 25 watt just to be safe. Will look at LEDs.

I think I will bite the bullet & replace my lights to those specifically made for LEDs. I have noticed quite a few articles saying that replacement LEDs are non-compliant in fittings not designed for their use!
