For information if anyone is interested. We inherited an old style tacktick wireless anemometer (pre Raymarine takeover) for which we were told one cannot get a bearing replacement kit; It’s a tidy sum of money to replace the unit.

I have discovered that it is not too difficult to take the unit apart and replace the bearings myself, a saving of over £400.

That’s good to know, I have one that is about 7 years old, still works fine but if you can post details on bearing replacement it may be useful for many members including myself in the future :-)
