Hi all,

Any ideas on where?

Present inking was high in the stb. Forward saloon locker on the bulkhead. I already have a hole near here and power can be run along the inside of the locker.

Does anyone have the compass and Nmea unit too? Will the shroud base interfere with the compass?

Hi Greg,

I mounted my base transmitter unit on the stbd side behind the seat/bunk backs (mine fold down), the compass is on the main bulkhead on the stbd side in the under bunk locker (i.e under your feet if you are lying on the stbd bunk). The NMEA unit is mounted on the bulkhead directly in front of the chart table I.e facing you as you sit at the chart table. This is because all my other instruments and associated NMEA wiring is there. This has all worked fine for the last 3 years. Hope this helps

Thanks. Sounds about the same as what I was planning although I was going to look to out the compass in/around the same place.
