Has anyone ever had rudder tube to hull bonding issues? I seem to have a small leak coming
from around the tube where it is bonded to the hull.

That’s a rare problem but not unheard of. The rudder tube is stainless steel and like all metal will be difficult to bond too. You should be able to roughen the surface, make sure it is very clean and rebond to fix the leak but the boat will probably need to be out of the water to ensure it is completely dry.
