Tiptoe

Built by MJ Slack in 1989. Since my purchase in 2012 not only has equipment been upgraded, but Tiptoe has had a major upgrade of the electricity. Refurbished by Jeremy Rogers Ltd in 2020, including new windows. Other improvements during my ownership include new teak cockpit seating, new teak cockpit grate, new cockpit table, new spray hood (not mounted yet), new lazy bag, etc. The cabin table has been removed in favour of a more spacious salon.

In sailing condition. Tiptoe has been regularly serviced, off-season stored with mast down in a heated hall in Stavoren, Netherlands, with the exception of the last two winters when she stayed out of water on land in Hoorn, Netherlands.

Tiptoe was originally built with an internal layout designed for minimal crew with a high quality finish in teak. She was also specified to be easy to sail single handed and benefits from both Sloop or Cutter rig. Her subsequent owners have continually upgraded her as have I.

I bought Tiptoe in 2012 and have had 13 sailing seasons cruising single handed along the English South Coast, the Northern Coasts of France, Belgium and the Netherlands with cruises to Germany.as well.

Tiptoe has lived up to the Contessa 32s time honoured reputation of being an excellent sea boat and has always looked after me when the forecast hasnt, in particular twice in stormy conditions.

Having been built to a very high standard with additional equipment and features, I have completely fallen into the trap of upgrading her whenever possible.
