Dear Readers

I have been experimenting with video on the web.  I have been learning as I go along so these initial results are a bit flaky in places ... however, there are some really good shots of dramatic starts and excellent spinnaker work.

I have composed about 8 minutes of film from the ROYAL LONDON WEEKEND.  The scenes are not necessarily in correct time sequence and the sound is really scratchy.  You will also note that I have some practicing to do with the zoom and wobble in holding a camera on a moving boat.  I also did a lot of shooting at the ROYAL SOLENT weekend and created an 11 minute sequence of the first race.

Video consumes a lot of space!!!  There are two versions ... the LOW resolution is about 10-20Mb and the HIGH resolution is about 50-200Mb.    The HIGH resolution is fine over a reasonable speed broadband ... try it!  For the technical - they are WINDOWS MEDIA (.wmv) files and you should ensure your video player is set up for "STREAMING" - that is it will connect to the file, buffer enough to get going and start showing the film while loading the rest in the background.

Welcome any feedback ...
