Shanti was built by Jeremy Rogers in 1984, finished White with dark blue double water line and cove. Pale blue deck and cockpit.
Teak toe rail and grab rails. Cockpit seats are finished in Teak, and double safety lines run between push and pulpit. 2 tonnes lead fully encapsulated in keel, with water storage over

Stainless steel 7 gallon diesel tank.
Deck gear includes two Lewmar 44ST, (3 years old) 2 Lewmar spinnaker winches and 2 again on the coach roof where all lines are run aft from the mast.
Other items include gas kicker, Wheel adjustment for backstay, Boarding ladder on transom, de-mountable inner forestay with No 3 Genoa and Storm Gip both with piston hanks. CQR type anchor in hinged well on foredeck, 30 metre chain and cable. Two winches on mast, 3 year old ‘Stackpack’ ‘lazy jacks’ with single line furling from cockpit. Rotostay and foil for her No 1 and No 2 Genoas, one Hood and the other Bruce Banks. Mainsail and Cruising Chute by Banks, plus conventional spinnaker and pole etc.
Mast head tricolour plus Bi-colour on Pushpit and White light aft. Two compasses in cockpit, Barton mainsheet traveller recessed over bridge deck to saloon.
New Volvo 3 cylinder diesel engine, gearbox and propshaft
fitted for 2009 season.
Simrad electronics for Wind/speed/tack/depth. Autohelm,
Garmin 128 GPS. Webbing jackstays.
Deep red leatherette upholstery, double drop sided dining table, good sized chart table with generous storage under.
Corian moulded sink and
work tops with flush lids to deep storage under. Two burner hob and oven with
grille, fed by gas bottle in vented locker in cockpit. Flushing sea toilet
and moulded wash hand basin in compartment with wet locker. Electric and
paraffin lighting. Solid brass Clock and Barometer. Domestic and VHF radio.
Shanti received the full Blakes SFE 200 epoxy treatment in
1998, supervised by Tony Staton-Bevan, MYDSA
