In addition to all the magazine articles an excellent book was written some time ago by John Kretschmer about his journey around the Horn on the Contessa 32 “Gigi”, the book is called “Cape Horn to Starboard”.

The book is now back in print with a new introduction and is available at all the normal outlets. We highly recommend a copy as it is perfect for a winter sailing fix.
