GENERAL INTRODUCTIONCertificates Contessa 32s with valid Class Certificates can enter for any RORC or JOG race without a IRC or IRM certificate, to race in Contessa 32 Class. They must, however, have a valid IRC Certificate to be eligible for IRC prizes or trophies. In any case they must comply with General Conditions, Standing Instructions and Special Regulations (SRs) applicable to the race. The RORC Rating Office issues a standard certificate for the class, so all you need to fill in on the application form is "Contessa 32 according to Class Rules". Our TCF for this year is 0.883. Special Regulations All races this year will be races under ORC Category 3. SRs appear in both RORC and JOG Programme Booklets. For entries to be accepted, both RORC and JOG require an owners declaration that the yacht complies with the relevant regulations and prescriptions. Keep a copy of this declaration on board, as in the event of your being inspected, it will be the first thing that the scrutineer asks for. Note: although there has been some convergence, the RORC and JOG forms are slightly different. |

The points on each yacht’s best 300 miles will count towards the Chaos Trophy, further mileage being discarded. Yachts which retire count points for 0.25 x Race Length. Yachts disqualified count Nil points. For ease of calculation, the multiplier, for up to 5 entries is:
Entries Entries are made directly to the organisers but the Offshore Representative holds copies of the entry forms for those who may wish to enter. JOG entries close 8 days before the date of the race, RORC entries close about 15 days before the date of the race. |
